ploughing through

i have laid down my plough
that cuts furrows through my history
my family, my soul 
upending , turning, rending
all that is in my path

i am lying now
not in the carnage
but in the fallow field
watching the wild flowers in the distance
that sway in the aphrodisiac breeze
hoping next seasons blooms
are ample

many of these poems  are haiku, japanese poetry that should execute an idea
in 3 lines of 17 syllables ( 5/7/5 format), there is also tanka (5/7/5/7/7). i have included other poetry  as well.
