This painting has had numerous transformations. It probably weighs 10 lbs and has 2 gallons of paint . I was getting ready to throw the whole canvas out when I gave it one last shot, with lots of attention to the painting but abandon in the method and voila,
night in the rose garden, emerged.

giving up on it/ sometimes at the last moment/ something takes a hold/ revealing new dimension/ it doesn't give up on you (tanka about this painting)

The valentines day, Heart of Stone workshop  at the California Center for Creative Renewal was a wonderful success. The class filled almost as soon as it was released. Thank you all for attending and making your way on this journey of the heart.
